Designers Biography

Jan Willem Waitz , born in 1963 in Amsterdam, went to West Africa at age of 3. At 11, he returned with his family to the Netherlands and stayed uptill 1982. Went to Lebanon in 1982 and travelled in the middle east for 2 years.

After this period Jan Willem Waitz travelled yearly to far destinations to discover more of the world.

In 2002 he started as a designer and entrepreneur with much energy and life experience.

With his brand DUTCHI, he tries to implement all his travel experience and materials he finds on his way. As a perfumer is making his perfumes, Jan Willem mixes his findings into his colourful and exciting collections, which he designs 2 to 3 times a year.

Many other designers used his skills to design for other labels as Karl Lagerfeld and others. Uptill now the designer lives and works in Spain and grows yearly as a brand.

Now you find DUTCHI in many countries in the world , where they are displayed in the better boutiques and retailer stores.
